Objects in Heart: Object-memories

Once a friend told me that I collect memories and added that he does not like this.He meant the object-memories. In fact, he was right...I am a materialist in that sense. When you think that my mother is the never-throw-away-anything type, this is no wonder. However our reasons differ. She keeps the 'things' in case we might need them someday ( most of the time she is right) while i can simply not stand the idea of throwing them away- particulary if they are reminiscense of sweet moments in the past. Then I realised i have tons of such objects at home dating back to friends and loves and journeys around. This could be one way to tell about myself (if i have to someday). All those things that i keep in mind and heart, which i can hardly let go of...those object-memories that make me revisit my past as i go through my bookshelves. Right after this blog idea occurred to me the same night, i came across a news article about an exhibition in the Freud Museum in London http://bit.ly/fTxDiA, titled ' Objects in Mind'. In me, heart governs the mind...hence was my inspiration for the blog's title. About why it is in spanish and portuguese, you will probably know once you set on a journey with me to and through my objects.
